Lavandin is a hybrid created from true lavender (lavendula angustifolia) and spike lavender (Lavendula latifolia). Its aroma is more herbaceous and camphorous than lavender essential oil.
Due to its higher camphor content, it is more stimulating than lavender essential oil. It is most effective for respiratory conditions such as sinus headaches, flu, congestion, cough, cold and in aromatherapy. Due to its high camphor content, it doesn’t possess the same ability as lavender to help treat burns. However, the higher camphor content helps it work wonders when blended in a massage oil to treat sore muscles & joint pain.
